Singapore – AMC Asia proudly presents the 2021 Fitness Best Asia Awards (FBAA), the only annual Asia-focused award that celebrates the best of Asia’s fitness and wellness communities. This year’s FBAA will select and announce an all-star group of fitness professionals and enthusiasts from the fitness and wellness industry. A two-year hiatus has enabled an exciting increase in the number of this year’s FBAA nominees who hail from nine countries in the region that include Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. This is truly a showcase of outstanding fitness and wellness professionals who have excelled in their areas of speciality. Working with a prestigious panel of twenty judges from across the nine countries in Asia, the online awards ceremony highlights the growing importance of staying physically and mentally fit while acknowledging the achievements of Asia’s top fitness and wellness professionals. The two-part award series consists of the National Awards and Regional Awards: (1) In the National Awards from 31 May to 2 July 2021, members of the public and the judges select individual winners from 60% voting and 40% judges’ choice. Public voting commences on 12 July. (2) The Regional Awards on 6 August will have the same format as the National Awards and includes 30% of public votes and 70% judges’ choice. In addition, winners from the National Awards will be interviewed by the judges as part of the evaluation. Stay tuned during the virtual awards show to find out who the winners of the Fitness Best Asia Awards are. Two new components have been included in this year’s awards: • Individual winners will compete against each other for the title of the best in Asia. • To facilitate greater community engagement and participation, a percentage of the winning nominations will be decided by the public.
Previous Awards Statistics The 2017 and 2018 Fitness Best Asia awards attracted a total of 62,000 registered users and 1.14 billion page views. With the exponential interest in fitness and wellness, 2021 presents the opportunity to redefine the awards and reach out to the fitness community. This has resulted in the creation of new awards such as the Best Corporate Wellness Programme, BodyFit Transformation Award, Digital Fitness Platform and Digital Wellness Platform, amongst others. As Technical Director, Laila White sums it up: “As a fitness and wellness practitioner for overtwenty years, the recognition and celebration of fitness and wellness professionals in Asia are still underrated. It is time to honour the passion, dedication and impact of fitness individuals and organisations in both the community and Asia in general”. ### For media enquiries, high-resolution images, and interviews, please contact: Ms Hilary Tay: Marketing and Communications hilary@fitnessbest.com
