Do you think winning the Manhunt International is one of your biggest accomplishments? Are you most proud of and why?
Yes, I think winning Manhunt international is my biggest accomplishment.
This because Manhunt international is the oldest and biggest international male modelling competition, and to represent my country the Netherlands to this opportunity is something truly amazing. So if I’m proud? I’m more than proud that I’m part of the Manhunt international winners!
What keeps you busy during the pandemic?
At the moment I’m very busy with work. I work in a fabric company where we make vinyl tiles, and beside this work I still work as a model of course. I do less modelling work because of COVID 19.
For a few months I have been living together with my girlfriend Lianne. We have an apartment with a garden in Emmen, The Netherlands. So because I live on my own now I’m just very busy working at taking care of myself and my girlfriend.
How do you maintain your body to stay in shape? Can you give us some tips on how to keep fit and healthy?
I maintain my shape by exercising daily, going for a run or going to the gym. Beside my exercises I try to eat as healthy as possible and don’t drink alcohol too often. Keep it in water!
Try to exercise daily for at least an hour.
Eat healthy and keep track on your calories.
How can you influence the youth that joining pageant or modeling competition is one the best platforms to divert their attention?
I can only be a role model for the new youth that are interested in pageantry or modelling.
So what I want to say to them is believe in your dreams, love yourself, Get physically in a good shape, live a healthy life!
No one said it would be easy!
What was the most memorable experience you ever had during the Manhunt competition?
If I had to choose one moment it would be the night of the grand finale, For me this night was very special.
Besides the fact that this was the night that I heard I was the new Manhunt international winner what was very special for me of course.
For me this was a special moment because backstage we boys were so close, it really felt like a family! Everyone was enjoying it, and everyone wanted to show their best side on stage.
And personally i think you can see that very well in the after movie of the grand finale.
When you arrived in Manila, Philippines, did you ever think that you were a sure winner in the competition?
When I arrived in Manila, Philippines I had a winner mentality but I didn’t know for 100 % that it would win. I was very confident in my preparation but the competition was in my eyes very strong.
Who do you think is your greatest competitor during the competition?
During the competition it was very hard to say because I honestly thought everyone was very strong! But if I had to choose it would be; Manhunt Greece, Brazil, Spain, India, Sweden.
What are your plans after your reign as Manhunt International Grand Winner?
As a Manhunt International grand winner I hope to promote manhunt International. I want to show people what manhunt international is and what it stands for. I want to do this in the Netherlands and in other countries, so hopefully I will be able to do so after the pandemic.
After the pandemic I will travel back to the Philippines. When I won the grand finale I didn’t only win the title of Manhunt international but I also won a 3 month model contract at EmpirePH and also a photo shoot/ tour in Thailand with Gentle People!
Do you have any tips on how to win in a competition?
Train hard to get physically in good shape. Focus on the goal. Do research what the judges are looking for. But what I think is most important is be yourself and keep close by yourself.
Can you give a message to all our readers?
Stay safe during this pandemic, so stay negative. Be kind to your loved ones, and hope to see you all soon in the Philippines!
