Exclusive Interview with Jonathan Denis: Passionate about fashion, photography, and personal growth. Former Cuban soldier now chasing his dreams in the U.S. with hard work, faith, and love.
Coming from Cuba to pursue modeling in the U.S.—what inspired you to make such a bold life transformation?
Coming from Cuba is already a story of struggle. What inspired me to pursue modeling was my desire to grow, change my reality, and prove that dreams can come true with hard work. When I arrived in the U.S., I saw an opportunity to reinvent myself, evolve, and show my true potential.
How has your background shaped the way you approach your modeling career and personal growth journey?
I was raised with discipline, responsibility, and determination. Those values have helped me stay consistent in this industry. Modeling requires commitment, both physically and mentally, and I’ve built that with dedication every single day.

What does being a “dreamer” mean to you, especially now that you’re living and working in a new country?
Being a dreamer means not settling—it means believing in yourself despite the challenges. For me, being a dreamer is about seeing beyond what I have now and working every day for a better future. Living and working in the U.S. has taught me that dreams do come true, but only if you fight for them.
Faith, love, and hard work are key themes in your story. How do you stay grounded in these values amid the fast-paced fashion industry?
I stay grounded thanks to my family, my partner, and my faith in God. Everything I do is with love, and even though the fashion industry is fast-paced and competitive, I don’t lose my roots or values. I work hard every day, not just to stand out, but to grow as a person.
What role has your partner played in supporting your dreams and transition to life in the U.S.?
My partner has been a fundamental part of my journey. She supports every project and every step I take. She’s been my motivation to keep going when things get hard. Sharing this chapter of life with someone who believes in me gives me even more strength to keep pushing forward.
You describe yourself as a family man—how do you balance career ambitions with building a strong home and future together?
I’ve always believed that true success isn’t just about your career—it’s also about building a meaningful life. My family and my partner are my biggest motivation. Building a home full of love, respect, and stability is very important to me. Balancing both worlds isn’t easy, but when your priorities are clear, you find a way.

Photography is one of your passions. What do you enjoy most about being both in front of and behind the camera?
I love the ability to express myself without words. Being in front of the camera lets me show emotion, style, and attitude. Behind the camera, I enjoy capturing moments, playing with light and angles—it’s a form of art that truly makes me feel free.
What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced on your journey so far—and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges I faced was starting from scratch in a new country, not knowing anyone, and having limited opportunities. But with perseverance, humility, and faith, I slowly carved my path. I never stopped believing in myself or working hard, even when doors seemed closed.
How do you hope your story inspires others, especially those who come from humble beginnings or face major life changes?
I hope my story shows people that it doesn’t matter where you come from—it’s about where you’re going. I want others who come from humble beginnings, like me, to feel motivated to keep pushing, to never give up. If I can move forward with limited resources, anyone with passion and faith can do it too.
What’s your ultimate dream—not just in fashion, but in life as a whole?
My biggest dream is to build a happy, stable family and to live doing what I love while inspiring others. In fashion, I want to keep growing and reach big runways, but beyond that, I want to leave a mark—to be an example that with love, faith, and hard work, any dream is possible.
