New York’s Spring/Summer 2026 season was a testament to resilience, with designers pushing forward despite a challenging year. Among the standouts was London-based Omar Mansoor, who made his highly anticipated New York runway debut after a successful stint in Paris. For this season, he presented a stunning ready-to-wear collection that embodied fresh ideas and bold moves.
Titled Lapis Lazuli, Mansoor blended old-world glamour with a Gen X edge, showcasing his signature silk creations. The collection featured a range of dresses, from knee-length to full-length, sleeveless to long-sleeved, all adorned with semi-precious stones and detailed Uzbek Ikat trimmings. The mix of luxurious fabrics and intricate embellishments made it clear—his designs speak to a broader audience, offering timeless elegance with a modern twist.
