Mylene “Myse” Salonga is an inspiring Filipina artist whose life and work exemplify empowerment, creativity, and social advocacy. From humble beginnings as a self-taught painter to becoming an internationally recognized artist and cultural ambassador, her journey reflects the transformative power of passion, purpose, and perseverance.
From Passion to Purpose
Myse’s artistic journey began over a decade ago as a personal exploration of creativity. What started as a hobby quickly evolved into a dedicated craft — one that would propel her into local and global art circles. Over the past decade, she has created more than 200 unique paintings spanning styles from modern abstract to surrealism, demonstrating not only artistic versatility but deep emotional and cultural resonance.
Her works are more than aesthetic expressions; they often carry deeper messages and themes that connect with audiences emotionally and intellectually. Myse’s art has been showcased in prestigious venues around the world, including exhibitions in Paris, London, and New York — a rare achievement for a self-taught artist from the Philippines.

Art with Advocacy
Mylene’s career stands out not just for artistic merit but for its meaningful advocacy. She has used her exhibitions to support charitable causes, including autism awareness and benefit exhibits where proceeds have been directed toward organizations like the Autism Society of Baguio.
In June 2024, she donated a significant painting titled “Marianne” to the Philippine Embassy in Paris — a tribute to the resilience and dedication of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). The piece was accepted by Philippine Ambassador Junever Mahilum-West and added to the embassy’s historical collection, symbolizing both cultural pride and recognition of Filipino contribution abroad.

Recognition and Leadership
Myse’s contributions to arts and society have drawn significant recognition:
She was crowned Noble Queen of Culture and Arts 2024 — an honor which highlights her impact on cultural advocacy and artistic excellence.
