Up-Close with Sarah!
Sarah Liroe Javier, 42 years of age, married to Joseph John Flora for 24 years. A mother of a son, Jacob, who recently graduated BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology. She is the youngest among 5 siblings, her parents both hailed from Cavite and that makes her a true blue Cavitena. Ever since childhood, she loved singing and dancing. So at an early age, she went through various auditions for TV and advertisements. Luckily, she was chosen to be a member of That’s Entertainment (A show popular in the late 80s and early 90s).
She was assigned to the Monday group. Kuya Germs “German” Moreno, was their tatay and mentor. Who taught them professionalism and humility. He helped shape them to be better entertainers. That’s Entertainment opened a lot of doors for Sarah. She did several commercials such as Phillips Billboard, Minute Burger Print Ad Model, PLDT Dial-a-Friend Documentary, and RCBC Bank. She has done several commercials. She also has some movies like Istokwa, Flames the Movie, and Sana’y Mahalin Mo Rin Ako etc. She was also casted in teleseryes such as Mia Gracia on GMA7 and Bukas May Kahapon on Channel 13.
When That’s Entertainment folded up, She pursued her career in singing and released a single under “First Break” albums. The song was titled “Panghabangbuhay”. They were a group of 6 girls, each with a single under “TellDem Records”. She got married at an early age and bore her son at 19. They ventured in several businesses, but it just wasn’t easy, so she went abroad to fend for her family. After several years of working abroad, they decided to stay in the Philippines with her family. They went into TNVS Operations and they were doing well until the pandemic hit their business and they were forced to stop operating their units. After which, they started their trucking business and up until now they are still into it. Just like any other businesses, they experienced ups and downs but so far, they are holding up.
She accidentally discovered another talent when his dad and brother passed on a year apart. Her sadness and longing made her write a song for them that is “Buhay sa Aking Ala-ala”. The second song she composed is about hope amidst the pandemic that despite the hardships that we’re going through right now, we shall pass like a wind if we keep our faith in God. Music is a therapy to her soul, and it makes her feel better when she’s down. Both songs were arranged by Mr. Elmer Blancaflor.
Now, she’s to embark on a new and meaningful journey as Mrs Universe Philippines – Visayas. This is her very first prestigious pageant and she is very proud to have made it successfully.
