The worldwide celebrated Designer of the Next Generation, Rayniah Gregory, has finally launched her eagerly awaited new collection, called „The Rainforest“. Inspired by what sciences taught her at school, and her love for the planet’s ecosystem, Rayniah, under her own brand “Rayniah Gregory Milano”, presented her eye-catching collection for the first time this past November, at the iconic venue, Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art.
Using her platform as a designer and model, Rayniah herself organized the charity launch event, called “Walk the runway for Cancer“. The event gathered Chicago-based and international designers, to showcase their collections for a good cause – to help children cancer patients!
Chicago is Rayniah’s hometown, and a very special place for the young designer. Already Rayniah’s first-ever collection had been showcased in Chicago, at a fashion show hosted by none other than celebrity designer Barbara Bates. Going beyond fashion, Chicago holds another heart-breaking story in Rayniah’s life. At a very young age, Rayniah was diagnosed with cancer. However, this did not prevent her from pursuing her dreams. It made her even stronger and more determined. Rayniah defeated her cancer, launched her own fashion brand, and is now helping other ovarian cancer children facing the same struggle.
Rayniah’s words are simple and clear: “Why wouldn’t I form a non-profit and raise money for pediatric cancer? I am doing the things I love, designing and modeling, and I am able to help others at the same time.” Rayniah certainly knows she is very lucky to be a healthy girl living her best life.
Her new collection „The Rainforest” is the best example for this. Under the mentorship of Italian brand MM Milano’s Chief Designer Chona Bacaoco, and inspired by the colorful and stunning images of plants, animals and nature, each of Rayniah’s dresses looks like a genius masterpiece in itself. Rayniah definitely is one to watch out for as a young designer who loves to turn the world into iconic pieces of art.
Convince yourself!
